Speaking Activity - Description

We are going to work in pairs.

Only one of you need to have a look at the first picture and describe it to your partner as he/she needs to find out what type of environment are you describing: a park, a room, a restaurant ...

Once he finds out, you have to exchange roles.

  1. Dear Emma,

I like the idea of making them work in pairs to describe pictures. It can be a nice, fun way of reviewing vocabulary and encouraging them to speak. In order to make sure that they speak enough, I would tell them that, at least, they have to make three sentences to describe the picture. This way they have to make an effort and don't talk only about the most obvious thing in the picture to make the other person guess it.
But any way, I like the activity a lot.
